Building AI Features in React

You will build ShopLens, a review-insights panel with a sentiment badge, a streaming summary with a stop button and a product comparison table, and learn to make model output typed, fast-feeling, honest, safe and affordable.

See the finished ShopLens panel, then learn exactly which promises a model call breaks for your UI and why the browser must never talk to the model directly.
Write prompts that return exactly what a component can render, short text or small JSON, and check every reply with Zod before it reaches React state.
Build the ShopLens backend-for-frontend, a typed client, all three features, and a request state machine that makes impossible UI states impossible.
Make slow, variable and sometimes wrong output feel fast, honest and recoverable: waiting states, confidence and sources, regenerate and feedback, and graceful failure.
Make ShopLens safe against hostile reviews and unsafe output, cheap enough to run on every product page, and covered by tests that exercise streams and states without calling a real model.
